About Us
Liminal is a platform for transformative engagement across education, research, and policy. Rooted in decolonial, relational, and spiritual frameworks, it offers workshops, lectures, and collaborative initiatives that support educators, scholars, and institutions in reimagining learning, knowledge, and governance. Through creative expression, community-based inquiry, and systemic analysis, Liminal cultivates spaces where dignity, belonging, and justice are practiced; not just envisioned. Each offering is designed to honour lived experience, foster collective wisdom, and inspire meaningful change.
Dr. Yecid Ortega, Liminal Founder, is a scholar, educator, and creative practitioner whose work bridges critical, decolonial, and relational frameworks in education and research. With over two decades of experience, he explores the pluriversality of social, cultural, and linguistic experiences—particularly among marginalized communities including immigrants, refugees, 2S/LGBTQIA+ individuals, neurodivergent people, and older adults. His approach is grounded in arts-based, community-oriented, and spiritually attuned methodologies that honor lived experience and collective wisdom.
